The purpose of our discipleship training material is to teach the basic truths about
making disciples. This material uses real life practical examples to teach the process
of making disciples. Above all else this program is easy to read and easy to duplicate.

 The
material is available as a free PDF download to any ministry that desires an
effective way to teach the process of making disciples. To download the free material

Below is part of 'Lordship'. Lordship is the first step in understanding the process of
making disciples. John 15:4
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me"
Jesus IS Lord

Colossians 1:15-20 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over
all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities
or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before
all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the
church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He
may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the
fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him,
whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the
blood of His cross.”

Most of us when we think about Jesus will think of Him as the Jesus of the past or the
Jesus of the future. Read Colossians 1:15 ‘He is’, is means present. Jesus Is Lord, Is
means as your going through this discipleship program. Is means now, right this very
second Jesus Is Lord.

Matthew 28:18 ‘And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has
been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

When we began working on this discipleship program in January of 2005 there were
several things that weren’t clear. We didn’t know how it would be distributed and we
didn’t know how long it would take to produce. The only thing that was clear in the
beginning was we had to start with Lordship. Everything starts with Jesus.

Christians today face the same problems and tribulations that those before us faced.
Many saints are confronted with rejection and persecution like those who came before
us.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

I know Hebrews 13:8 is a very short scripture but if you will receive what it says then
you will become a much better disciple. Understand that the same Jesus that walked
with Peter on the water and the same Jesus that is preparing a place for us Is Lord. He
has all authority in heaven and on earth.

John 15:4-5&16 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I
am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears
much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing…You did not choose Me, but I
chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your
fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give
you.”

You can make disciples but you can’t make disciples unless you abide in Christ and
allow Him to abide in you. Do you have problems? Is it hard for you to memorize
scripture? Do you struggle speaking in public? Great, so did all of the great disciple
makers before you.

Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says
the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus Is Lord. He is not “our co-pilot” or “our homeboy”. Jesus is not a great man or a
great prophet. Jesus is not a great teacher or a priest. He is “the Alpha and Omega,
the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” He
is the present, the past and the future.

John 5:36 “But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the
Father has given Me to finish – the very works that I do – bear witness of Me,
that the Father has sent Me.”

Jesus said if you have a hard time with My Lordship, then look around at My works.
There will be trials and tribulation. Jesus said in this world we will have trouble.
Sometimes during these trials, we might have a hard time with His Lordship. How do we
know He is still watching over us? How do we know that Jesus is still Lord?
Look around at the very works that He is doing and look at the people He has placed in
your life that testify of His Lordship. Read the local newspaper, talk with your family and
friends, and look for His assurances, His peace and His comfort. He said for us to look.
Can you see it?  Jesus’ works bear witness of His Lordship.

Matthew 7:24-29 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does
them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the
rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house;
and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will
be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand; and the rain
descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and
it fell. And great was its fall.”

Our foundation is Jesus Christ. Jesus knew the storms would come and beat on our
spiritual houses. If we are not grounded on the Solid Rock, the storms we face can
disable our ability to make disciples. Jesus told us that He is our Cornerstone. If things
begin to become misaligned in your spiritual walk, remember, the Cornerstone isn’t
subject to the rest of the building. If the building is not aligned with the Cornerstone;
then move the building.

Jesus Is Lord!
